A luggage compartment is used differently from the passenger footwells. Shopping bags, outdoor footwear and travel cases all meet the same surface, so a removable trunk mat makes everyday upkeep more manageable. For day-to-day errands with VW Passat B8 Variant, leave time to check the luggage area after unloading. A mat is most useful when it is part of regular care rather than left unchecked.

This application is listed for VW Passat B8 Variant 2015-2022. Match the vehicle designation and the stated 2015-2022 production range before ordering. Keep the stated body designation when checking the vehicle. A similar model name with another body style is not automatically covered by this application.

A dry-weather journey can still leave dust or grit behind, while rain adds moisture to bags and equipment. Inspect the trunk after each type of use and clean the removable surface as needed. Do not leave standing water beneath the covering.

The 3D designation identifies the product range in this listing. This luggage-area product should be selected against its own application, rather than assuming the same construction or coverage as passenger-footwell mats. Use the care guidance supplied with the product and check the surface regularly. For a manageable care routine, unload the trunk first, lift out the mat and clear collected grit. Treat stubborn marks gently with a soft sponge and appropriate cleaning products. Do not assume a stronger chemical gives a better result. Check that both the trunk carpet and the mat are dry before installation.

Start with an empty, clean loading area. Align the mat with the trunk floor and check that no edge is trapped against the tailgate or movable trim. Leave the vehicle’s access and securing points usable. If you adjust the luggage-area configuration later, inspect the mat position again before loading.

A trunk mat is a covering, not a luggage restraint or pet restraint. Secure loose items using suitable vehicle equipment and do not rely on surface texture to hold them in place. Keep heavy or sharp items from pressing unnecessarily against the covering. Compare luggage-area products in our trunk mat collection, checking each application separately. If the footwells also need attention, browse our 5D floor mat collection; its vehicle requirements are separate. Our guide to separate mats and combined sets can help you decide which interior areas need attention.
