Your trunk can move from weekday shopping to weekend equipment in a single journey. A separate mat gives those changing loads a practical contact surface while keeping cleaning work away from the original luggage-area carpet. For longer journeys in VW Tiguan, inspect the luggage area while planning the load. Clean equipment and careful packing remain useful even when a trunk mat is fitted.

This application is listed for VW Tiguan (2nd Gen) 2016-2024. Match the vehicle designation and the stated 2016-2024 production range before ordering. Also compare your actual trunk layout and any movable load-floor arrangement. The title should not be used to assume coverage of a different generation or configuration. The 2nd Gen designation in the listing is another useful point to compare with your vehicle information.

A dry-weather journey can still leave dust or grit behind, while rain adds moisture to bags and equipment. Inspect the trunk after each type of use and clean the removable surface as needed. Do not leave standing water beneath the covering.

The 5D designation identifies the product range in this listing. This luggage-area product should be selected against its own application, rather than assuming the same construction or coverage as passenger-footwell mats. Use the care guidance supplied with the product and check the surface regularly. Clean the removable covering away from other luggage. Shake off loose particles, wipe the affected areas gently and inspect the underside before refitting. Follow the product instructions for detergents and rinsing. A careful drying stage is important, particularly after winter journeys or wet outdoor equipment.

Lay the mat on a clean, dry trunk floor and check the complete perimeter before carrying luggage. Use the supplied fitting guidance rather than trimming or forcing the covering into place. Keep movable panels and access points clear. Check the position again after cleaning or rearranging the load area.

A trunk mat is a covering, not a luggage restraint or pet restraint. Secure loose items using suitable vehicle equipment and do not rely on surface texture to hold them in place. Keep heavy or sharp items from pressing unnecessarily against the covering. Compare luggage-area products in our trunk mat collection, checking each application separately. Our floor mat installation videos cover passenger-footwell products; use the trunk product instructions for this luggage-area mat.
