Rather than treating the boot carpet as a disposable loading surface, use a mat chosen for the stated application. The benefit is a separate area to maintain, alongside sensible handling of luggage and regular checks underneath. For longer journeys in Toyota Prius+ Hybrid, inspect the luggage area while planning the load. Clean equipment and careful packing remain useful even when a trunk mat is fitted.

This application is listed for Toyota Prius+ Hybrid 2012-2021. Match the vehicle designation and the stated 2012-2021 production range before ordering. Keep the stated powertrain designation in your comparison. This listing does not establish compatibility with every other engine or battery configuration.

Seasonal care works best when it follows the actual load. Clear mud after outdoor trips, brush away dry grit after errands and check for dampness after transporting wet equipment. This simple routine helps keep luggage-area maintenance predictable.

The 5D designation identifies the product range in this listing. This luggage-area product should be selected against its own application, rather than assuming the same construction or coverage as passenger-footwell mats. Use the care guidance supplied with the product and check the surface regularly. Regular light cleaning is usually easier than waiting for a heavy build-up of dirt. Remove sand and small stones, wipe the surface gently and check any folds or edges for residue. Avoid sharp tools and unapproved chemicals. Let the complete mat dry before returning it to a clean luggage area.

Start with an empty, clean loading area. Align the mat with the trunk floor and check that no edge is trapped against the tailgate or movable trim. Leave the vehicle’s access and securing points usable. If you adjust the luggage-area configuration later, inspect the mat position again before loading.

A trunk mat is a covering, not a luggage restraint or pet restraint. Secure loose items using suitable vehicle equipment and do not rely on surface texture to hold them in place. Keep heavy or sharp items from pressing unnecessarily against the covering.
